The Breakfast at the SOUTH POINT had some very pleasant surprises i.e. Mike Foote, Steve Caldwell ( visiting from NJ ) and a guest From Danmark/EU, Erling Pedersen ( a friend of Alfred ). This particular morning i had arrived early and i was hungry for some of the Garden Buffet's sweet smoked salmon. By the time Tyler & wife, Larry, Kenny, Rhonda, Luis, Jeff, and the other guests had arrived, i had polished three plates of that succulent smoked fish, bagels and coffee...I was full. The ambiance among us was predominantly pleasant and relaxed, and at some point we decided to leave and took a short ride to Goodsprings/NV. The weather and temperature were amiable and made the ride the more pleasant. The PIONEER SALOON, a Landmark of the area since 1913. Its rusticity and aloofness brought me mentally back to the early part of the century. Pictures of the past, miners, tools, pics of Hollywood Divos , paraphernalia of the past, and smack in the middle of one of the rooms a Pool-table, where guests engage in a competitive and friendly game.
I was introduced to Vic " Doc " Moss and some of his Buddies. Their Las Vegas Post 8 American Legion Riders, are organizing a Benefit for the Nevada Troops on Saturday, april 4th ( i wish, i could be there ).
It was a wonderfull sunday morning, full of cameraderie and laughs, a nice short ride and good breakfast made the day even better. To " ALL " thanks.
