Answers...to an Invite by Loyd

Hello Sal,

My proposition is that I would like to conduct an experieced rider class for the Guzzi group but I would only be able to do it on either Saturday, Jan 31 or Feb 1 at my site in Mohave Valley, AZ. My suggestion is that we ride from Las Vegas and stop in Searchlight for breakfast. Then we ride to my site and then run the range exercises that would last about 3 hours. After the class we can ride through Oatman, AZ on old route 66 and then back to Vegas across the dam. What do you think? I need to run a class for Louis. I thought it would be nice to run one for the group.

Considering that february 1 is Super Bowl sunday, Larry is planning for saturday 31st.
All interested, please e-mail or call Larry directly.

PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK !

Your Presence was felt immensely! Wow...and the partecipating numbers go up... it's a good feeling. We had some friends show up with renewed Interest to this " GROUP ". An overwhelming Approval for the Locale and its wonderfull Food ( the corner was just perfect and the service was attentive...let's remember that this is a Buffet...DIY... ). Jim Brautigam, Pat Hayes, Bert Fox and special guests i.e. Tyler's and Jeff's wife made this monthly breakfast more diverse and pleasing to the Group, Now Joan doesn't feel like she is the " only " Woman.
At the Moto Auction we got dispersed...but not lost ( the room was huge, wasn't easy to locate our exploring Group, at the moment to say Good-byes ).
To ALL of US...WELL DONE !

SOME QUESTIONS

At our Breakfast, Joan she mentioned ( as we dropped few bucks for some incurred expenses...eheheh ) that we should consider a T-Shirt, Shirt or some other Get-up for everyone to wear !
My Concern: what about those that dont ride Guzzis ?

What's your Imput ?

Battista's: 01/06/09 in Friendship and Cameradery.

...Loyd had set this up and all guests showed up: Sal, Tyler, Kenny and his wife, Melissa, even Loyd's daughter Jennifer showed up, Yvon ( the Falcone's club's president) Sergio and Angelo, and two friends i hadn't met yet, George and Heidi. While we all waited for everyone to arrive, Vittorio Locatelli ( another Moto Guzzi rider )a friend of our club, suggested i meet an italian gentelman, John Belli ( Vegas is hosting an Electronics Fair and 150.000 business people attending, he is one of them as well. The dinner went well as expected and satisfying. We all had an animated conversation from one side to the other of the long table...but, with so muchhh... to tell and multi-cultural exchanges taking place, at some point even Berlusconi became a topic ( with an absolut negative point of view from me ). Toward the end of the evening a very pleasant surprise was presented to some of us by Yvonn in the form of a bottle of white wine with a Moto Guzzi label on it ( really nice ! ) and some wonderfull Plaque, with the Insignia and the legend of their club's
international trips ( including Las Vegas ), were presented in sign of Friendship to the attendee- riders of this beautyfull event.

It just makes me cry !

OK...I give up....I'm going to put the 74 Eldo up for sale for $1000. I can't get any money together to buy what parts it needs, so I want it out of here.It is a rolling basket. Motor and tranny are out and split, but not in pieces. It runs good, no real leaks. What it needs:A new timing chain tensioner. I pulled the timing chest cover, and the original one is shot.A set of clutch plates. I bought a new cable, but the plates are badly worn.A throttle set-up and ALL throttle/choke cables. I gave away the Amals with throttle and all, but I have a set of good delOrtos.Brake hoses for the front disc, and a caliper kit would help, as the caliper only contacts one side of the disk.A pair of mufflers....the ones on it work, but are rusted away.A correct battery. It has a good one, but it is too tall and fouls the side covers. That is all I know of. It did run good, but the clutch was so full of ground up friction material, it wouldn't disengage, making it unrideable. My mistake was believing the guy I bought it from who made it sound really sweet. I can't ship or deliver, so bring a truck!!Tim Crump6786 Council Heights WayLas Vegas NV702-444-8608
