Few minutes later... and we are on our way to Lake Havasu
It was just in the middle of the week and the weather in Vegas became promising warmer for the week-end. Michael and Agnes suggested a ride to Lake Havasu/AZ ( just about 150 miles each way ). David and Larry Loyd joined the " POSSE COMITATUS ". First stop at AVI hotel&Casino, Laughlin,Mojave desert (indian territory ) great breakfast...lotsa laughs & Pics. Having warmed up some...and a satiated stomach we crossed over riding through the historic ROUTE 66 ( sorry guys but my riding style slows down...single lane and Gravelly ! ), it saved us some traffic and agitation. Lake Havasu finally...it felt good to walk around the marina, watching some hotrod boats ( with some big block Chevy, as per David ), some funny moments while taking pictures ( Agnes came through with some funny moments and her stomach began to growl...) just across the marina by crossing the " London Bridge " we entered a mexican restaurant, and started with tortilla chips and salsa, followed with a 10 oz. steak and small shrimps, served with a house salad and blue cheese dressing. Full and Happy , we started on our way back Home. At the Searchlight Nugget we made a stop just for coffee and warm up some ( 8:OO PM in the desert gets cold ) Larry mentioned to me that in this place they charge $ 0.10 for a cup of coffee...it was so funny that when the check for 2 teas ( $ 1.00 each ) and 2 coffees ( $ 0.20 total ) came, i just had to take a picture of the TAB! Thanks Michael ( and everybody else ) for a lovely day and a ride of interest.
